Drip Before the Uprising: A Definitive Tier List of Singularity's Earnable Fashion

Let's be honest: half of us logged into Singularity to stop a rogue AI, and the other half logged in to look incredible while doing it. Both are valid. But after three hundred hours of hub-wandering, faction-grinding, and openly judging strangers in the New Anchorage social space, we're ready to settle the debate once and for all. Here's our tier list of every cosmetic set you can actually earn — no premium wallet required.

S-Tier: Worth the Grind

The Cascade Regalia (Neural Collective, Exalted reputation). This is the set that made fashion a meta. The coat's fiber-optic threading pulses with your active ability cooldowns, meaning veteran players can literally read your build at a glance. It took us 60+ hours of reputation work to unlock, and we'd do it again. It doesn't just look good — it communicates.

Ashfall Drifter (earned solo, no faction required). The rare set that respects your time. Complete the buried bunker questline out past the Rust Corridor and the game hands you a weathered, sand-scoured exosuit that somehow feels more 'post-human wanderer' than anything in the cash shop. Understated. Iconic.

A-Tier: Great, With Asterisks

Vanguard Plate (Iron Concord, Revered). Heavy, angular, unapologetically militaristic. The problem? Half the ranked ladder wears it, so you're matching with every third teammate. Individuality is the whole point of fashion, and the Concord's obsession with uniformity extends to your closet.

The Widow's Ledger (black market event, seasonal). A sleek, matte-black suit with a subtle ledger glow across the forearms. Gorgeous, but only obtainable during the Ledger Days event, which the studio keeps vague about returning. If you have it, you earned it. If you don't, sorry.

B-Tier: Solid, Not Stunning

Civic Weave (default reputation reward, any faction). The 'reliable sedan' of Singularity fashion. Clean lines, neutral palette, zero story. It's what your character wears when they have nothing to prove — which, depending on your read of the lore, might be its own statement.

Deep Current Rig (diving sidequests). Bioluminescent accents are cool in the sunken zones and look vaguely like a rave outfit everywhere else.

C-Tier and Below: The Bathrobe Problem

And then there's the Server Room Bathrobe.

For the uninitiated: it's a reward for a genuinely difficult stealth challenge in the Meridian datacenter, and the punchline is a terry-cloth bathrobe with server status LEDs stitched into the lapel. It's hideous. It's also the most coveted joke item in the game. We counted eleven players wearing it in the hub last night. When your ugliest item becomes your biggest status symbol, you know the community has won.

What Fashion Actually Means Here

We talked to a few of the scene's most notorious fashion-forward players. 'Vexa_Lo', who runs a 4,000-member transmog Discord, put it plainly: 'In most games, cosmetics are flexes. In Singularity, they're arguments. Your outfit tells people which future you're voting for.'

That tracks with the game's whole thesis. Singularity is about trading away pieces of your humanity — memory, flesh, identity — for upgrade after upgrade. Cosmetics are the one thing that can't be optimized. Nobody's build gets stronger because your coat pulses. It's pure expression, the last human luxury left on the table.

So grind the reputation. Chase the robe if that's your brand. But whatever you wear into the machine age, wear it on purpose.

Disagree with our tiers? Good. That's the point. Drop your S-tier picks in the community hub and prepare to be judged.
