Straight Answers: The 12 Questions Singularity Players Ask on Repeat

Every game community has its greatest hits. Spend ten minutes in the Singularity Discord and you'll hear the same dozen questions, asked with slight variations, answered with slight variations, forever. So we figured: let's put them all in one place, with what we can actually confirm and — just as important — what nobody can.
Here's the honest version.
The Buy-In Questions
1. Is there crossplay between PC and consoles? Yes — confirmed by the studio in their July dev blog, with cross-progression included. Crossplay can be toggled off in settings if you'd rather keep your lobbies platform-locked.
2. Are there microtransactions, and are they pay-to-win? There's a cosmetic shop. Full stop. The studio has stated — repeatedly, and in writing — that no gameplay power will be sold. Based on the current shop catalog (skins, weapon finishes, emotes), that's holding. Do I fully trust any live-service promise made pre-launch? Ask me again in six months.
3. Do I need to play with a squad, or is solo viable? Solo is fully viable through the main campaign. The endgame systems are built around squads of three, and matchmaking covers most of it, but a consistent crew makes the late game significantly less painful.
The Gameplay Questions
4. How long is the campaign? The studio says 25–35 hours for the critical path. Community playthroughs are clocking in around 30 with moderate side content. Completionists are reporting 60+.
5. What's the endgame actually like? Three pillars: rotating co-op incursions, a seasonal escalation event, and ranked squad play. It's solid but thin at launch — the roadmap promises the first major expansion in Q2. Whether you believe the roadmap is between you and your wallet.
6. Is there difficulty scaling for mixed-level squads? Yes, and it's one of the smarter systems in the game. Higher-level players get scaled challenge, not scaled power, so a veteran can't trivialize content for a newer friend.
7. Can I respec my build? Full respecs are free and unlimited after the campaign's second act. Before that, you're locked in — a choice the devs have defended as "meaningful early commitment" and which half the community calls "annoying."
The Technical Questions
8. How are the servers holding up? Rough at launch weekend, stable since. The studio posted a postmortem on the queue issues, which is more than some studios manage.
9. What are the PC requirements, really? Minimum specs will run it at 1080p/30 on medium settings. For a stable 60 at 1440p, you'll want something in the RTX 3070 / RX 6800 neighborhood. It scales well on high-end rigs.
10. Is there ultrawide support? Yes, natively, including 21:9 and 32:9. A rare W.
The Unanswered Pile
11. Will there be mod support on PC? No official answer. The studio has said it's "discussed internally," which in dev-speak means anything from "in active development" to "never happening." Flagging this one honestly: nobody knows.
12. What happens to seasonal content when a season ends? Also unanswered. The FAQ page is conspicuously silent on whether past season content rotates back in. For anyone deciding whether to buy now or wait, this is the biggest open question — FOMO-driven seasonal design is a dealbreaker for a lot of US players, and the studio hasn't said which side of that line they're on.
The Bottom Line
If you're the type who needs every question answered before you spend $70, questions 11 and 12 are your homework. For everyone else: the fundamentals are confirmed, the monetization is (so far) clean, and the endgame is real but young. Buy when you're ready — the game will still be here, and so will the same twelve questions.
